The Advantages and Disanvantages of Online Learning

 

In March 2020, precisely in 9th of March World Health Organization officially declare Coronavirus (COVID-19) as a pandemic. The whole world drastically changes, we must stay at home to avoid the virus, no work, no concert and no school. But after a few months we start doing everything from home, especially we as a student, we study from home, or you can say it online learning. Of course, this online learning has some advantages and disadvantages.

Online learning is a solution during this pandemic, because we can’t leave our lessons and just relax at home. In fact online learning have many advantages, it’s more efficiency because you can get more source of learning than usual, it also save a lot of time you don’t need to rush for a bus, you don’t have to stuck in a traffic jam you just have to turn on your internet and start studying, and since online classes can be taken from home, you have a small change of missing the lessons.

 But since it’s a new kind of thing, not all of us get used to it and can afford it. Yes we can easily learn just from our laptop or smartphone, but for some students they can not focus when online learning, and then some students can not even afford to buy a laptop or a smartphone. Another problem is the signal and other technology issues, especially in poor country and hinterland that haven’t got the internet.

In conclusion, online learning is a good solution in this era. But some disadvantages such as, the affordability that quite difficult for many students and technology issues it's a major problem, education is very important to our generation, we can not let them have less feasible education.
